HELLO EVERYONE AND WELCOME TO THIS UPDATE HERE ON CBSBOSTON.COM. I’M KATIE BRACE. AND I’M KEN MacLEOD. FIREFIGHTERS IN CHARLOTTETON SPENT THE EARLY MORNING HOURS FIGHTING FLAMES ON MAIN STREET. THREE PEOPLE WERE TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL AS A PRECAUTION. FIFS SAY THE — FIREFIGHTERS SAY THE FIRE WAS CONTAINED TO THE SECOND FLOOR. POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING AFTER A 2-YEAR-OLD DROWNED IN A BACKYARD POOL IN LYNN. DETECTIVES COULD BE SEEN AT THE HOME FRIDAY NIGHT ON BOSTON STREET. THE TODDLER WAS PULLED FROM THE POOL AROUND 6:00 IN THE EVENING AND RUSHED TO THE HOSPITAL. THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY SAYS FOUL PLAY DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE A FACTOR. TWO WORKERS WITH THE MASSACHUSETTS DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION ARE HEADING TO HAWAII. HAZARDOUS MATERIALS EXPERIENCE. THEY’LL SPEND 21 DAYS HELPING WORKERS STAY SAFE IN EVACUATION ZONES AND PERFORMING GEAR INSPECTIONS. THEY’RE EXPECTED TO HEAD THAT WAY IN THE NEXT FEW DAYS. HOPEFULLY YOU’RE ENJOY WHAT IS A PERFECT SUMMER DAY. BUT JACOB SAYS THE BREAK IS ONLY TEMPORARY. TAKE IT AWAY. SOME TEMPERATURES REACHING BACK INTO THE 90s NEXT WEEK BUT TODAY WAS A PERFECT DAY. 75 FOR AN AFTERNOON HIGH IN BOSTON AND PLYMOUTH. 81 IN LAWRENCE. AND 79 DEGREES IN FITCHBURG. YOU CAN SEE THE CLEAR SKIES ON OUR SATELLITE AND RADAR. THIS IS WHAT WE’RE GOING TO SEE FOR SUNDAY AND MONDAY. THINGS WILL CHANGE A LITTLE BIT TUESDAY. LOW TEMPERATURES TONIGHT FALL INTO THE 50s TO NEAR 06 DEGREES IN TOWN AND TOMORROW — 60 DEGREES IN TOWN AND TOMORROW YET ANOTHER NICE DAY. 85 FOR AN AFTERNOON HIGH ESPECIALLY INLAND. 80s ALONG THE COASTLINE WITH A LOT OF SUNSHINE NOT ONLY SUNDAY BUT INTO MONDAY. LOW 90s FOR MONDAY. MIDDLE 90s ON TUESDAY WITH A CHANCE FOR THUNDERSTORMS. AND THEN WE’RE DRY WITH 80s AND EVEN 90s AS WE GO TO NEXT WEEKEND. KEN AND KATIE? JACOB THANKS.
