Royal DIVORCE: Why Lady Davina Windsor’s marriage broke down – REVEALED  – Today News US


 Lady Davina Windsor, 41, is the daughter of the Queen’s cousin, and 30th in line to the throne
She married New Zealander Gary Lewis on July 31, 2004 and the couple have two children
But last week, Buckingham Palace confirmed the couple had split in 2018. ” No official reason was given for the separation but there have been reports their “cultural differences” played a part
 A friend told the Daily Mail: “It’s very sad, but their differences were just too great in the end
” Lady Davina’s parents are the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, and she is half-Danish though her mother
 Gary is of Maori descent and their marriage marked the first time a person of Maori descent married into the British Royal Family
 The couple’s two children – eight-year-old Senna Kowhai and six-year-old Tane Mahuta – are said to still be living with their mother in London
 The couple led a private life largely out of the public eye. But commentators have remarked on how amicable and swift their divorce was, leading to some questioning what they did right

co.uk: “The couple’s divorce fell largely under the radar due to their limited time in court, which could be due to other dispute resolution techniques
 She added: “It might feel inevitable that a divorce is going to get emotional and messy, however, a few techniques and alternative options will help mitigate stress levels and the amount of money spent
” Barrister Kate Van Rol, from top divorce barristers 4PB, elaborated on how couples can achieve this sort of amicable division
 She said: “Following divorce, a decision has to be made in respect of how the couple’s assets should be shared between them

 “A further complication can occur where the assets are located in different countries
Obtaining information about overseas assets and aligning tax regimes can be problematic and therefore, ultimately, an expensive process
” She said the key to an easy divorce often lies in keeping them out of the courts
 Ms Van Rol said: “Where both parties are committed to reaching a resolution in respect of concluding their financial arrangements it may be beneficial and preferential for them to consider arbitration as an alternative to the court process
 “Arbitration can be a more expedient and economical form of resolution.
